Live From Jones Hall
Each Saturday night during July and August the musicians of the Houston Symphony return to the Jones Hall stage for livestream performances throughout July and August. Musicians from every section of the orchestra will be spotlighted in small ensemble settings as we share music live from our Hall to your home. Tickets to each livestream performance are only $10 and help support the Symphony. The August 29th livestream concert is a septet of Houston Symphony musicians perform the virtuosic suite from Stravinsky’s Soldier’s Tale, a devilish fable of a violinist who sells his soul. Wynton Marsalis’s Fiddler’s Tale responds to Stravinsky’s piece from the perspective of the late 20th century. This livestream performance concludes with Schubert’s effervescent Symphony No. 2.
Those who purchase tickets will receive a private link to enjoy the live performance in the comfort of their own home. A recording will be available to you at the same link for 24 hours following the concert. The Symphony encourages fans to consider purchasing multiple tickets to share as gifts for concert-goers to enjoy with family and friends. CLICK HERE for concert information and to purchase tickets.
